Aylesbury fireworks shop eCommerce website design 2017

The fireworks shop website allows this local business to have a year-round presence on the internet to support a high-street outlet that only opens during some seasons. The site is set up for eCommerce, with built-in checks for minimum sales value and delivery area. Any non-conforming orders automatically get sent as an enquiry for collection and payment at their shop

The site is a PHP-driven bespoke CMS site that lets the client display new fireworks in a number of categories, and include text, images, videos etc. As a responsive website, it automatically reconfigures the screen for whatever device is being used. Suitability for mobile use is critical, not only for people browsing on the move (e.g. looking for the shop while out and about), but to ensure your website appears on Google Mobile results.

The design is based on the Materialize Google Material Design CSS Framework and uses 'parallax' photos for some dynamic effect. Videos are a big part of the website because they most easily convince the user that the product is for them. Unlike most eCommerce websites, the video is the first and largest feature of the product page. This is possible as the entire site is a bespoke design - off the shelf commercial shopping cart systems don't easily allow such features.

The site allows people to browse and put together a collection of fireworks, then send their 'shopping basket' to the site where the order is assembled ready for collection or delivery. The site has proven very popular, bringing customers to the Buckinghamshire shop from as far away as Wales and London!
